This was taken on the boxing day.
It was cold but sky was clear.

Walking down from my office around 15 mins.
There was quite a few people who visit to see the wonderful illumination.
Many people took the scene. Some put their cameras on triods. Some took with phonecams.

With a new toy, I walked around the Minatomirai.
I tested the 16:9 mode which is shown with this photo.

At the same time , I tried to use the Dynamic Range Optimizer, a function that adjust the area of black saturation into enlight.

You can see the effect of the function.
I am very much satisfied.

Chinatown in a jumble

Chinatown has its own energy. I like the feeling of its chaotic jumble. Poisonous colors, crowded people, appealing smells rushing at me from every alleys while I walk. Chinatown is the place where the old things are not old, new things are not new. In other words, it is the timeless zone.

Today, I went up in the lift to the top floor of the Yokohama Landmark Tower. The floor is kind of a viewing platform. It was fair and I enjoyed the supreme scenery of Yokohama. The hight of the building is 296m(970 feet) so if you were some acrophobia, it would be consternate to be there. You can see bigger size images by clicking each photo, if you like.

Guardian deity of children

I saw many Ksitigarbha, guardian deity of children - called as Zizou- in Zojoji Temple, Tokyo.
Each Ksitigarbha has a pinwheel in his hand, but I don't know why.
Sometime I see Ksitigarbha with pinwheel. It's not unusual.

As I took shots in other area, there are so many cables and wires around Futamatagawa where I live in Yokohama. Today, I was walking about near my house and easily caught many scenes with wires.

Newly built NACT buildings is like a green house.
Is is a pretty well-lit because all the external wall is made of plain glasses.

This elevator leads you from the Nogizaka to the museum.

Cofee shop

Squashy velvet sofa in wine red, square glass ashtray, girl pinups and a shiny stainless-iron sugar pot. They are the items of ordinary coffee shops in 30 years ago. Most of these type of cozy corners disappeared. There I felt as if I had been back in my younger days. I ordered 'Brazil' that we cannot have in Starbucks.

Wired Life

Sneaking around our town, we see so many cables and wires. Usually, I ignore or try not to bring into the frame when taking a photo but yesterday was an exceptional. I made an attempt how I put them. I did not have an intention to accuse how ugly they were. I just wanted to capture how I could blend in with the paysage.
